Perfectionism and Burnout During the COVID-19 Crisis: A Two-Wave Cross-Lagged Study.Paola Spagnoli, Carmela Buono, Liliya Scafuri Kovalchuk, Gennaro Cordasco & Anna Esposito - 2021 - Frontiers in Psychology 11.
The current study aims at examining the relationship between the perfectionism two-factor model and burnout dimensions measured by using the BAT through a longitudinal study. A two-wave cross-lagged study was conducted using path analysis in SEM of 191 workers. Results confirmed the predictive role of perfectionistic concerns on the burnout dimensions, whereas perfectionistic strivings were not significantly related, suggesting that perfectionism should be monitored by employers and clinicians to prevent employee burnout. Limitations and future research directions are envisaged.

Modern culture is often referred to as a post-religious one. One can assume that precisely because of the departure from the historical avansheny to the periphery of the existence of the religious sphere, the spectrum of problems of the spiritual plan is stable, avalanche collapses on the individual being of man in the world, increases the sense of crisis, hopelessness, which completely permeate her life. As a result, a modern type of personality with a boundary consciousness is formed, which preserves (...)

In the first chapter of the paper we elaborate on the attitude towards the Other in the European Union by discussing two adversative yet simultaneous processes taking place in the EU. The first tendency is a legacy from the centuries-lasting model of European unification against certain important Others. The second one refers to the aspiration of the supra-national European project to encourage in an unprecedented manner the co-existence with the otherness. We argue that this ambivalence results from the fact that (...)

The life of each clergyman is manifested in the limited spheres of his activity. But because of the sources of scientific works, their own icon-painting of some of them can find out about their spiritual world, the vision of different spheres of life. Art is a reflection of the state of the whole social consciousness and means of time reflection. The icon of an individual author also reflects on the way of thinking the master, and in general, all public consciousness.

The development of the iconography of those centuries in Ukraine marked the Tatar-Mongol invasion. When a person or a whole nation falls into a difficult situation, faith in God grows, spirituality rises. Monuments of culture (...)

The scale considers the properties of intelligent systems within the environmental context, which develops over time. In contrast to the frequent consideration of the “mind” of artificial intelligent systems on a scale from “weak” to “strong”, we highlight the modulating influences of anticipatory ability on their “brute force”. In addition, the complexity, the ”weight“ of the cognitive task and the ability to critically assess it beforehand determine the actual set of (...)

Stress is one of the most powerful experiences to influence health and disease. Through epigenetic mechanisms, stress may generate a footprint that propagates to subsequent generations. Programming by prenatal stress or adverse experience in parents, grandparents, or earlier generations may thus be a critical determinant of lifetime health trajectories. Changes in regulation of microRNAs (miRNAs) by stress may enhance the vulnerability to certain pathogenic factors. This review explores the hypothesis that miRNAs represent stress‐responsive elements in epigenetic regulation that are potentially (...)
